Mark Ormrod MBE
A former Royal Marine from Plymouth, Devon, became the first triple amputee to survive a battlefield injury after an IED explosion in Afghanistan on Christmas Eve 2007.
Despite losing both legs and his right arm, and being pronounced dead twice, Ormrod made an extraordinary recovery.
Within 14 weeks, he walked on prosthetics to receive his Operational Service Medal from HRH the Duke of Edinburgh.
Post-recovery, he continued serving with the Royal Marines, worked for the RMA – The Royal Marines Charity, and established a significant social media presence for the charity.
Ormrod is a motivational speaker, mentor, and an advocate for wounded veterans, participating in numerous endurance challenges and winning medals at the Invictus Games.
His resilience and positivity inspire many, embodying the #NoLimits philosophy, symbolised by a logo representing strength and focus.
